“Thanks again for pulling through on a 24hr notice”

It was a weekend in July. July 7th to be exact. If you don’t remember what you were doing that weekend. I’m sure you were either swimming or at home with the AC full blast. It was that weekend when it was 120 degree’s out in Southern California. Hot, hot and humid. Just imagine you’re in a sauna all day wearing winter clothes and than someone lit the sauna on fire. Ok ok I’m being over dramatic. But it was hot! I had just checked in a hotel with my wife and settling in our room before I received a message from Ben. He had asked if I was available tomorrow for an engagement shoot. It was a busy weekend for me since both Saturday and Sunday I had family birthdays. I really don’t like saying no when it comes to engagement shoots since I enjoy doing them. So I told him lets party! (Ok I didn’t say that. I told him I was available.)

The next day I had messaged Ben to confirm the time and location. I arrived right after they had a romantic lunch at the location where they first had their date. Nice set up. Basket full of food and wine with lit candles. (Good work Ben!) Ben saw me walking up and with a big smile he told me “She said Yes!” His smile had a sign of happiness, excitement and relieved that the pressure was off his back. Joyce also had the same reaction but only with a bigger smile. They brought their pet dog Ash who was just over joyed. The 3 of them looked like they’ve been a happy family together.

Once we were finished. Ben later texted me. “Thanks again for pulling through on a 24hrs notice!” When I read his message. I had this feeling of accomplishment. It also felt good cause he showed his appreciation and took into consideration that sometimes not everyone can pull through on short notices.
